Scholarship for the Students
Education lessens the challenges one faces in life. Ten meritorious school and college students in weaker economic band were identified and Tuition Fees was sponsored by AWT for this academic year 2021 – 2022.

Covid Phase 2 - Relief Measures
Donated: Two Oxygenators each to Musiri, Manapparai and Rameshwaram Government Hospitals.
Fifty oxygen flow meters to Kilpauk medical College Hospital, Chennai.

Covid - Food Distribution
Food distribution over a period of about 2 weeks for the Loubra Blind Colony, street-dwellers and the homeless in Bangalore, street dwellers, front-line workers in Ramnad and Rameshvaram, Earvadi Mentally challenged people.

House Construction for Gaja Victim Families
Constructed 21 Thatched roof houses for Gaja cyclone affected families.

Relief Materials during Floods
Tamil Nadu state is multi-hazard prone, the major natural hazards being Cyclonic storms, Urban and Rural floods, and periodic Droughts.AWT volunteers went directly to the affected areas to provide groceries, blankets and other essentials for relief to over 100 families. For rehabilitation, 50 families were taken up and homes were rebuilt using innovative bamboo support walls to withstand high force winds.

Vidivelli Shelter Home Kitchen Reconstruction
Vidivelli shelter home at Manapparai taluk is home to about 90 deserving seniors and 25 orphaned children. Gaja cyclone which wreaked havoc did not spare the home's kitchen and the cooking was done in open.
AWT initiated Kitchen Reconstruction Project to make it functional in a permanent infrastructure. Thanks to the generous hearts, within a span of less than 6 months, construction was completed.
The kitchen was inaugurated on the 10th of November 2021.

Relief Materials during Floods
COVID-19 pandemic impacted millions of lives in Tamil Nadu, including differently abled people living in blind homes and welfare shelters. Many people don’t have access to food at these homes as the resources are stretched thin.
AWT members with direct engagement with the welfare homes, one healthy meal was provided for each day for 100 days. Additionally, groceries and sanitation kits were delivered to families needing help.
